Hi welcome to the personal website of Erik van Berkum. Erik van Berkum is using this blog for various interests and quick notes and when I don’t have the time to make a proper article for the wiki site. Also I installed this blog to show information on my hyves account. Erik is a Dutchman currently living in Colombia. He’s working in Colombia for a Dutch Chrysanthemum breeding company Deliflor. As an Area Manager of Asia and America Erik is based for this company in Medelli­n, Colombia and also traveling a lot to Asian countries where they cultivate Chrysanthemums.

On the photo you see him and his wife Maria Lucia she is from Colombia and Erik met her during one of his travels. At this moment they have 3 children Mariana, Juanita and Nicole Sophia, according to Erik i’s really great to have a house full of woman. His hobbies are traveling and he spend quite some time on his computer and the Xbox.

The name of this site is Marpositas, maripositas is the Spanish word for butterfly. The Butterfly the love symbol of Erik and Malu, later on when the site will be redesigned, you will find 5 butterflies in different sizes, signify the 5 member of our family. The colour of this site is orange and purple. Orange is energetic and flamboyant, purple is royalty and spirituality and by far the most mysterious colour.
